Activating AVG Internet Security on Windows by Activation Code

When you purchase AVG Internet Security via another AVG application on your Windows PC or the AVG Store, your subscription activates automatically on the device used for purchase.

If you purchase AVG Internet Security via an alternative sales channel, you need to activate your subscription manually by following the instructions in this article. You also need to activate AVG Internet Security manually when you start using your subscription on a new PC.

1. Open the AVG Internet Security user interface and go to ☰ Menu ▸ My Subscription.

3. Select Enter valid activation code.

5. Type or paste your activation code into the text box (including hyphens), then click Enter.

7. Click Continue to confirm that your subscription is now active and return to the My Subscription screen.

Your AVG Internet Security subscription is now active. Your subscription details are visible via Menu ▸ My Subscription ▸ Subscriptions on this PC.

You can activate your subscription simultaneously on the number of devices specified during purchase. To verify the device limit for your subscription, check your AVG Account linked to the email address provided during purchase, or an order confirmation email.

Troubleshoot activation issues

If you experience any activation issues:

• Ensure you have correctly entered your activation code, including hyphens. 
• In some cases, subscription synchronization may take up to 24 hours after purchase.
