Canceling your AVG subscription


An AVG Account is a portal where you can manage all paid AVG subscriptions that are registered to your email address. Refer to the sections below for instructions on how to manage your subscriptions.

Unsubscribe from a continuous subscription

Canceling a continuous AVG subscription will not refund your current AVG subscription, and you will be able to use AVG until your current subscription period expires. To unsubscribe from an AVG subscription:

  1. Open your current AVG subscriptions using the link below:

    NOTE: If you are not already logged in to your AVG Account, enter your email address and password, then click Login. If you do not have an AVG Account, create one here.

  2. Click Unsubscribe under the relevant subscription.
  3. Select Unsubscribe from future renewals and let my subscription expire on XX/XX/XX. Then, click Confirm.
  4. Click Got It.
  5. When the change is processing, the option to Unsubscribe is no longer visible under the relevant subscription, and the subscription status is Unsubscribing in progress.
  6. To ensure your continuous subscription is disabled, look for the Expiring status under the relevant subscription. Expired subscriptions are visible in your AVG Account for 1 year after expiration.

NOTE: The renewal option is managed separately for each subscription. If you have more than one continuous AVG subscription enabled, repeat the steps above for each subscription you want to cancel.


Request a refund for a continuous subscription

If you do not wish to continue using a product with continuous subscription enabled, you may request a refund. Please note that if we provide a refund, you will no longer be able to use the paid features included in your subscription.

To request a refund:

  1. Visit the AVG Sales Support page.
  2. Click Request a refund.
  3. Follow the instructions and fill out the form to submit the refund request.
