Office.com/setup Teams gives government agencies a hub for teamwork that meets their security and compliance needs

Microsoft Teams—the hub for teamwork in Microsoft 365—is a chat-based workspace that enables teams to be more productive by bringing together chats, meetings, calls, files, and apps into a single place. It provides integrated access to Office 365 apps and services including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, improving collaboration in the context of your team by providing central file sharing, co-authoring, and more in one place.

While Teams have been available in the Government Community Cloud (GCC), today we are announcing the availability of Teams in GCC High and Department of Defense (DoD) environments. Teams are built to meet the enhanced security and compliance requirements of government agencies, which can now better deliver against their mission and provide services to citizens and constituents.

Outlook mobile for iOS and Android

The availability of Teams in all Office.com/setup 365 Government environments builds upon our announcement earlier this year that the architecture of Outlook mobile now meets the security and compliance needs of Office.com/setup 365 U.S. GCC High and DoD customers. Now government employees have advanced capabilities across email, search, and calendar from their mobile devices, so they can focus on what’s important and get more done for their citizens.

Today, Office.com/setup 365 Government includes threat protection and intelligence tools to protect, detect, and respond to cyberattacks. Soon we will launch new capabilities in Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) P2 for GCC that automate investigation and remediation of threats in email—helping you further reduce the burden on your team and time to respond. Microsoft enables your security team to spend less time investigating threats and work more efficiently.
